BACKGROUND
Bar Bulletin is the sponsored flagship newsletter for the District of Columbia Bar Association, boasting an audience of over 100,000 subscribers. The weekly email publication serves as a key channel for member engagement and non-dues revenue, featuring the latest news and editorial content, signature event marketing, professional development opportunities, and paid advertising that highlights exclusive offers for relevant products and services relevant to both members’ professional and personal lives.
As the production manager for Bar Bulletin, my responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Marketing leadership and Senior Editors on content planning and copywriting
- Developing a responsive layout and overseeing the QA process
- Liaising with Affinity Marketing staff to ensure successful sponsored content delivery
- Executing A/B tests and contributing subject-matter expertise to email optimization initiatives
- Monitoring ad and overall newsletter performance metrics
- Evaluating the production process and advising on process streamlining
